Who is responsible

Realm First! is run by Max in Vienna, Austria. For privacy requests, contact privacy@realmfirst.net. Publisher and editorial information is available on our About page.

Reading and searching the website

Realm First! is hosted by Spaceship, Inc. Requests to read a page, image or RSS feed necessarily include connection data, including your IP address. Hosting logs may record request times, requested paths and browser information to deliver the website, investigate faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure publication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical records are retained as needed for delivery, security and investigating a specific incident.

Spaceship processes hosting data on our behalf. Its privacy policyand data-processing terms describe its processing and safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Site search runs in your browser against downloaded search files; we do not send the text of your search to an external search provider. Fonts and editorial images are served from this website.

Saving guides in this browser

When you save a guide, its article ID is stored in this browser. Your saved-guide list is not sent to our servers, linked to an account or shared between devices. You can remove entries on the Saved guidespage or clear them by clearing this website's browser data. Reading remains available if browser storage is blocked.

Contacting the desk

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information you choose to include. We use these to answer your question, check a source or handle a correction or rights request. Our legal basis is the legitimate interest in dealing with correspondence; a legal obligation may also apply to a privacy or legal request. Correspondence is kept for handling the request and any necessary follow-up, dispute or statutory retention period. Please avoid sending unrelated personal data. A private tip is not automatically made public.

Accounts and email subscriptions

Accounts, comments and newsletter signup are currently unavailable. Reading and following the RSS feed require no registration. We do not collect subscriber addresses through the website while signup is unavailable.

Optional analytics and browser storage

Optional PostHog analytics run only after your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. They use a pseudonymous browser identifier, page path, referring site, reading milestones and source-link clicks. We do not include emails, account handles or comment text. Your consent choice and, if allowed, a random analytics identifier are stored in your browser until you withdraw consent or clear site data. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous.

You can turn off optional browser analytics without losing access to any article. This stops future analytics requests from this browser and removes its analytics identifier; it does not undo processing that already took place.

Third-party links

Source links, video platforms and community links leave this site. Their processing is governed by their own notices and terms. We do not put third-party tracking pixels in an editorial image or source link.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@realmfirst.net to make a request. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority. This notice will be updated when the services or processing on this site change.
